IAPI ADFX 2014 Awards Now Open for Entries

The business case for creative bravery

The Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI) today launched its official call for entries for the the 2014 IAPI ADFX Awards, the toughest awards in Irish advertising. 
 
In order to give Irish clients and agencies the strongest opportunity to properly gather strong data and evidence to support that advertising works, the awards happen every two years. The advertising effectiveness awards recognise campaigns that made the most impact on the bottom line. The deadline for entries is Friday the 25th of April. 
 
The IAPI ADFX Awards celebrate the link between effective advertising and business success. The awards are based on a partnership between agency and client, as both must work together to compile the 4500 word case study demonstrating how a campaign proved effective and achieved business objectives. The awards provide a platform for both client and agency to show their return on marketing investment. 
 
Entrants are encouraged to go to the new website www.adfx.ie to avail of the Effectiveness Hub, the first industry resource of its kind in Ireland. It’s full of case studies showing how and where advertising works with essential downloads on how best to measure the effectiveness of a campaign. 
 
This year the awards have a new Small Budget award category aimed at campaigns with small budgets of less than €200K. The introduction of the Best New Learning and Best Use of Research awards will also add a new dimension to the highly competitve awards. 
 
According to Orlaith Blaney, IAPI President and CEO, McCann Blue, “The IAPI ADFX Awards are the most prestigious and credible awards in the Irish advertising market that truly demonstrate bottom line effectiveness. These awards are evidence and proof that what IAPI member agencies do in collaboration with their clients builds business results. IAPI ADFX 2014 will showcase the most powerful work in the Irish market, it’s a ‘’must enter’’ awards.”  
 
Margaret Barron, 2014 IAPI ADFX Judge and SuperValu Strategic Marketing Manager added; “It was the ADFX process back in 2012 that made us go deeper into our data and performance of the Supervalu “hello” campaign. The ADFX award submission set a standard that we should all be doing anyway and encourages a way of working together to be more aligned with your advertising agency in how you’re measuring effectiveness.” 
 
John Fanning, 2014 IAPI ADFX Chair of the judging panel added “The more accountable we become, the more professionally we are able to demonstrate the effectiveness of our campaigns, the more clients will invest in marketing communications. We owe it to ourselves to enter IAPI's ADFX Awards.” 
 
Taking place in the Grand Canal Theatre on Thursday September 4th, the award cermony will be include an element of fun and artistic performance. Full details will be revealed with the announcement of the shortlist in June.
