IAPI is launching advertising’s first ever Complaints Choir

12th June 2014

IAPI is launching advertising’s first ever Complaints Choir and we’re kicking off the idea at the ADFX Awards on 4 Sept in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.

Complaints Choirs are an outrageously good way for people to let off steam while still making their point. If you’re not familiar with the concept, click here for explanation. A funny video of a Canadian choir gives you an idea.

The Dublin Gospel Choir who have the most powerful lungs, have kindly agreed to sing your lyrics. We’re looking for each agency to write their own copy. IAPI picks the best. The lyrics must accompany the tune of either Titanium (David Guetta) or Every Teardrop is a Waterfall (Coldplay). To pull this gargantuan task together we’ve asked well-known copywriter Eoghan Nolan from Brand Artillery to assist us.

You have 6 weeks. Get writing, spill our all your frustrations and pet peeves about ad-land and see it brought to wonderful glorious life by a talented choir. On Ireland’s biggest stage. For more information email tania@iapi.com.

We’re deeply grateful to ADFX sponsors without whom our big gala night on 4th Sept would not be possible.

We are delighted to announce Google and Screen Scene have come on board as category sponsors.
